John Byrne 'Patrick' original coloured pen and ink artwork

John Byrne  Scottish playwright and 
artist born 1940 in Paisley, attended 
Glasgow School of Art from 1958-63. 
In 1964-1966 he designed jackets for 
Penguin Books. He then created his 
own style of naive painting under the 
pseudonym of ‘Patrick’ which proved 
very successful in the late 1960s. He
went on to write and produce his own
plays and TV series including 
‘The Slab Boys’ and ‘Tutti Frutti’. 
This is the original artwork for a 
Christmas card he had published with 
Gordon Fraser group. Coloured pen and 
ink of a Bugatti style of Santa car.
